DAY1

One of the best beauty in the prefecture! Okitsu Beach

About 1 hour from Kochi IC via Kochi Expressway. The destination of the trip is Shimanto Town, located in the western part of Kochi Prefecture. Shimanto Town is a large town about 44 km east-west. The southeastern part facing Tosa Bay, the central and western part of the mountains where Shimanto River flows, and the town is blessed with the great nature of the sea, rivers and mountains. It is also known as a treasure trove of gourmets such as Niida rice, Kubokawa beef and Kubokawa pork.

The first two friends went to Okitsu Beach in Okitsu Prefectural Nature Park. This is the only beach in Kochi Prefecture that was selected in 2001 by the Ministry of the Environment as one of Japan's 88 Best Bathing Bathings. Due to its excellent scenery and water quality, it was selected as one of the "100 Best Bathing Places" in 2006.

It is a short walk from the parking lot to the beach. When you pass through the pine forest, you will see the emerald green sea in front of you.

The beautiful sandy beach of Shirahama Aomatsu, which curves over about 2 km, the clear sea, and the glittering sky. A tranquil scenery spreads on one side, and your heart is healed.

In the shallow Okitsu Beach, the waves are calm, and it is recommended not only for women's trips but also for family trips with children. Parasols, floating rings, and bodyboards can be rented from hundreds of yen, so if you only have a swimsuit, you can play with confidence.

Resort Stay at Sky Hill glamping

The two will stay at "Sky Hill glamping ~ Shimanto Starry Sky ~" attached to "Sky Hill Golf Club". There are 3 areas: dome tent, trailer house and autosite. This time, the two people booked a dome tent where you can enjoy a luxurious resort feeling.

Arrived at the 10m dome tent "Dinosaur" with spacious open-air bath. Two people who get tension in the cute interior! Take a commemorative photo in a resort-like room, read a magazine leisurely and relax to heal the fatigue of your drive.

There is also a shared pool just a short walk from the dome. You can spend time relaxing while feeling the clear air on the poolside, or you can relax in the pool and see the unobstructed sky. It can be used until 20:00, so you can also enjoy the night pool overlooking the starry sky.

"Shimanto Starry Sky Course" is a barbecue menu that focuses on Shimanto ingredients such as Niida rice balls, Shimanto pork, Shimanto chicken, and local vegetables. It comes with grills, charcoal, tongs, etc., so you can enjoy luxurious barbecue without hand.

When the sun sets, the area becomes dark all over, and the starry sky spreads all over. Even inside the dome tent, closing the curtain creates a calm atmosphere different from daytime.

The 10m and 7m dome tents are equipped with clean individual bathrooms, toilets and washbasins. The two enjoyed the luxury stay in glamping, saying, "Reward to ourselves today!"

In addition, check-in and check-out will be performed at the front desk of Sky Hill Golf Club. The sign of the golf club along Prefectural Road 325 is a landmark.

DAY2

Figures are scattered, Kaiyodo Hobby Hall Shimanto

On the second day, we will head to the western part of Shimanto Town surrounded by mountains. It takes about 30 minutes to run along the meandering Shimanto River, arriving at Kaiyodo Hobbykan Shimanto in Uchiigawa, Shimanto Town.

Kaiyodo is a figure maker that makes its name to the world. Since Osamu Miyawaki, the founder of the company, was from Kochi Prefecture, and Osamu's father was from Shimanto Town, Kaiyodo Hobby Museum Shimanto opened in 2011 as a museum to display the history and collection of Kaiyodo. Opened.

The museum, which uses the gymnasium of an abandoned elementary school, is located in the mountains so that Kaiyodo itself calls itself the "Hempina Museum". But don't let it go! The items on display are all valuable collections that must be seen by fans. There are about 8,000 items of character goods, food toys, etc. of various anime, manga, and games at all times, and we regularly replace them so that you can enjoy them whenever you come.

In the hall, the gymnasium floor, podium, curtain, etc. are left as it is. It is unique to Kaiyodo Hobbykan Shimanto that uses a little nostalgic gymnasium in this way. One of the pleasures is a playful production, such as a large dinosaur figure placed higher than your eyes.

There is also a souvenir corner next to the entrance. In addition to figures, there are original mascots and gachagacha, which seems to be a memorial for your trip.

A very satisfying lunch at Cafe Cologne

The end of the trip is a delicious food. I visited "Western Restaurant Cafe Cologne" located close to Kubokawa IC on the Kochi Expressway.

Originally, this shop was founded by the father of the current owner chef as "Cologne", and it has been popular locally for many years, but it was unfortunately closed more than a decade ago. However, the second generation has revived as a Western-style restaurant Cafe Cologne, delighting many fans.

The two people received "Mozzalera cheese baked hamburger steak" and "Mozzalera cheese and clay pot keema-style curry". The signboard menu hamburger uses Shimanto Japanese black beef and Shimanto pork purchased every morning, and the sauce is made of demigrass sauce carefully cooked with beef thread meat from Shimanto town. In addition, all rice is Niida rice from Shimanto-cho, and eggs are also particular about highland eggs from Shimanto-cho, so you can enjoy a high-quality taste in a calm shop.
