Mountain sport

"Spoll! I tried it. "It is a project to actually experience Kochi's nature sports and convey the charm from the perspective of the experienced person.
Mr. Nakagawa and Mr. Ito, who live in Kochi Prefecture, will experience this time. Mr. Nakagawa is a dance performer, but also a body-moving specialist who also serves as a lecturer for self-manipulation. Mr. Ito is a qualified barbecue camp instructor and enjoys full-fledged outdoor activities.
We had them experience "Forest Adventure", a sustainable activity where you can enjoy natural forests and forests as fields.

First of all

Forest Adventure is a forest activity that originated in France. It is a natural attraction that you can enjoy using the undulations of mountains and the difference in height of trees. Rather than developing a forest, it is a facility characterized by the creation of a park that utilizes the topography of the forest, and an attractive athletic is created while minimizing the burden on the environment. Forest Adventure Kochi has three courses according to the content and difficulty level, making it a facility that even beginners can enjoy with peace of mind.

Place

A 90-minute drive from Kochi Station, Forest Adventure Kochi facility is located in the mountains at an altitude of 1,400 meters in Tsuno-cho, Kochi Prefecture. In the surrounding area, there are sightseeing spots such as Shikoku Karst Tengu Highland where the karst plateau spreads, Nagasawa Falls where the shape of Takiguchi looks like a heart shape, the headwater Point of the clear stream Shimanto River, and accommodation facilities "Yuyama Shimanto Seiran no Sato".

State of the experience

On the day of the experience. A great day when early autumn sunlight shines through the trees in the car heading to the facility. Stop the car at the parking lot on the facility premises and head to the reception desk.

Once the reception is completed at the entrance, the instructor will fit the necessary safety equipment according to your body firmly.

Gloves with non-slips are also required to grab and move the wire rope with easy-to-move clothes and shoes.
※Gloves are sold for 300 yen per pair, and shoes are rented (limited in number).
The facility is equipped with a shower and a clean changing room, so women can use it with confidence.

After confirming the precautions in the video, first go to a small practice course.

Forest adventure where you move yourself on the rope passed from tree to tree. Basically, you need to be careful about safety on the tree. Before challenging the course, make sure to check how to use safety equipment.

"I love to move my body and do dance performances, and this time I'm in the forest, so I'm just looking forward to it. "The blood is fussing," said Nakagawa, a man of motivation (left photo).

“I like the outdoors. I also like to spend time in nature. But I don't like high places! 。 It's not a zip line. I can't do it." Mr. Ito, who is reluctant to be afraid of heights (right photo).

When you step into the mountain, you will find some places where stairs are hanging on the tree that grows naturally. All of these are the entrances to the attraction, and there are ropes on the surrounding trees based on the hill where you climb, and you will move between the trees over the rope to aim for the next attraction.

First of all, two people climb the entrance that appeared first. Mr. Ito is relieved that it is a canopy course, which has a low difficulty crossing the rope.

Mr. Nakagawa is moving forward while saying, "It's surprisingly difficult."

"It shakes! It's expensive! I'm afraid!" Mr. Ito, who sometimes screams and goes hard.

It appears in front of the second person who has crossed a section that goes on a rope, a section that goes on a swinging log, etc.

What a zip line!

Mr. Nakagawa and the interview staff were aware, but Mr. Ito seemed desperate to overcome the attraction in front of him, and he did not realize that the zip line was waiting ahead ...

"I want to go back!" “I’m afraid to go back!”

For Mr. Ito, he retreats, hells, and hells.

Then, I decided that I had to move forward and challenge my first zip line.

"I'll go. I'm going!" I made a declaration to tell myself, and Mr. Ito challenged himself first.

I will never slip down the mountains.

When I heard the feeling that I finished, I said, “Is that? Surprisingly it might be okay. For example, the feeling of sitting on a spinning chair moving forward. It may be closer to sitting than hanging. "With an excellent analogy, he conveyed his feeling of overcoming fear.

Mr. Nakagawa, who continued to challenge, can afford to pose to the camera in the air.

Next, the two headed for a 1.2-kilometer adventure course consisting of five sites. The wire rope is built at a higher distance than the previous course, multiple routes are set, and the element of the attraction is stronger.

"It's fun!" Mr. Nakagawa goes from tree to tree lively like a fish that got water.

"Look at me!" Mr. Ito, who actively crosses the rope with a smoother approach than the canopy course mentioned earlier, while saying, "It's amazing to be so Swiss." It seems that you can enjoy activities on the tree full of smiles.

There are two main attractions on this course. Big Tarzan swing jumps out of the tree like Tarzan and jumps into a big net. And a long zip line of about 650m round trip.

This time, Mr. Nakagawa will challenge the long zip line.

The feeling of jumping out of the starting point on the tree, passing through the trees, and crossing the opposite shore far away is like a bird jumping from the mountain to the mountain.

I will have Mr. Nakagawa experience it with a camera.

"Yah! It feels good!" You can enjoy the long zip line while enjoying the scenery with plenty of room from the camera perspective. The scenery of the valley spreads below, and slides over the area around the building where the reception was performed.

Today's experience is over when Mr. Nakagawa finished slipping.

What you can hear is an adventure on the tree that unfolds in a quiet forest with only the birdsong. They were very satisfied with the active elements of clearing various attractions and the thrilling feeling that you can enjoy a little thrill.

“First of all, it was fun. It is a feeling that you can enjoy the fun of climbing a tree when you are small as an adult and enjoy it again. I remember how I felt when I was a child. The zip line is also pleasant, so you want to go around the zip line in each region. It's a habit. Also, I can train using a sense of balance and trunk, so I am very satisfied with that!" I feel like Mr. Nakagawa, a dance and self-manipulative instructor.

Mr. Ito, who is a barbecue camp instructor, said, "I like to spend time in nature as much as I go to solo camp, but I wondered if there is such an active way of enjoying it." It was probably impossible for an amusement park, but I touched the natural tree in the forest of nature and gave me a little courage, the high places were okay, and I was able to experience the zip line, and I was able to experience a new experience Was. I'm glad that I can do more and give myself a reward. " I received a feeling full of ambition.

At Forest Adventure Kochi, there are also courses available for children over 110 cm tall. In addition, each course is divided according to difficulty level, so it is an activity that can be enjoyed by various people, such as family and friends.
