Aim for Akamutsu off Muroto! Katsuko Fujikawa's fishing experience, 2nd

Former professional baseball player Katsuko Fujikawa from Kochi City, known as a fishing enthusiast. Following the first fishing project aimed at yellowtail and nali (campachi) off Aki, this time we challenged high-grade fish, redfish (nodgro) fishing off Muroto. Mr. Fujikawa, who had no Atari last time, aims for a big thing, "This time it is!"

At this time, we aimed at Buri Japanese white-eye with live food and Neiri and Thailand with lure, but unfortunately we were not blessed with water temperature and tide, so we could not get fishing results. So this time, we went off Muroto, located at the southeastern tip of Kochi Prefecture, where Mr. Fujikawa has never visited fishing. About 2 hours from Kochi IC via the Kochi Eastern Expressway, we arrived at Sakihama Fishing Port in Muroto City before sunrise.

This time, I took care of the recreational fishing boat "Misaki Maru". Good time when you leave the port, the sun starts rising from the horizon! On this day, you can see a rare "Dharma Asahi" where the sun looks like a daruma, and the great nature of Kochi seemed to welcome Mr. Fujikawa's return home!

Take a fishing boat off Muroto. "Dharma Asahi", which welcomed Mr. Fujikawa, is one of the mirage phenomena where light refracts due to the temperature difference between the sea surface and the atmosphere, and the sun looks like a daruma.

The first challenge of slowing

It takes about 10 minutes by boat and arrives at the first point. This time, we will challenge the slowing of redfish, known as a high-grade fish, using jigs and reels from "Sea Floor Control", a metal jig manufacturer in Kochi Prefecture.

"I would like to do my best while receiving my first slowing and guidance. I couldn't catch it last time, so I'll fish this time!" says Fujikawa. By the way, Mr. Fujikawa seems surprised that he arrived at the point in about 10 minutes from the fishing port. "I'm surprised. I can see the shore, but when I asked the captain, the depth of the sea here is 260m! It's very deep, isn't it? The room is amazing."

In fact, the sea of Muroto has a special terrain that forms a deep sea about 2 km from the land. In addition, deep sea water rises, so plankton is abundant and is blessed with many creatures, so you can enjoy various fishing, including the red mussel we aim for this time.

Mr. Fujikawa made his first attempt at slowing. "Akamutsu's jigging is a bit different. By all means, please check it out with "Acumz logging". You know how to catch the fish!” 。

"Don't be nervous. The first time that day is very important,” Mr. Fujikawa said. Excited, a throw! The jig is falling into the sea more and more.

"It's very deep. “Ah, I got to the bottom,” he sucked the rod and repeated the jig to fall, waiting for a reaction from the sea.

The reaction was immediate. "I ate it! It took me!" I feel the response and wrap the reel. "You have a strong sense of weight. Did you get it for the first time?” 。

Mr. Fujikawa, who felt the slight fish atari to a jig in the deep sea 260m away, is a word of driftstone! Although it was not the target Akamutsu, I got a fine Kuromutsu with my first slowing.

"I'm here! Good, this is also delicious! I often see it at high-end restaurants. Good start!" Mr. Fujikawa, I am very pleased with the full smile.

After that, I was completely used to the second throw. As the word "I have only expectations!", Mr. Fujikawa and his accompanying companions have a one after another, and they are excited with "the best".

"Jigging has a hard image, but it's completely different. It's a fishing that can be done slowly like a wave, so my mind calms down. The sea is calm today, so much better. It’s really fun fishing!” It seems that he was absorbed in the slowing of his first experience.

After that, I changed my jig because the Atari stopped a little bit, there was another hit of kuromutsu, and two hours from the start, I finally got a long-awaited Akamutsu, which I also got quite a big thing!

“Oh, that’s the big red! It's the best on the boat today! Well, it's a high-grade fish red mussel or nodgro, so I really wanted to fish and looked up a lot. You can really catch fish in Kochi's Murodo! I killed him perfectly. I'm looking forward to eating," Mr. Fujikawa, who has a speech. As I said at the beginning, I did my last humiliation.

"Next time, I'll try to catch redfish in bait fishing. First of all, I would like to put the bait on a device with five needles!” 。

The trick used for bait fishing is the Akamutsu device from Miya Epok, a fishing gear manufacturer in Osaka, the second hometown of Fujikawa. If jigging is an offensive fishing, bait fishing is a waiting fishing. After inserting the device, look at the tip of the pole and wait for the reaction from the fish.

At the time when the fish were caught by the boater, Fujikawa's pole also responded from fish.
"This is coming, isn't it? This is a red!” 。

Unfortunately, it was not Akamutsu, but it was a happy double hit. In Kochi Prefecture, kuromutsu and kuroshibikamasu called Sumiyaki were caught. “Mr. Captain, what is this fish? Can you eat it? Is it delicious?" 。
Mr. Fujikawa loves eating fish he catches. I am also curious about the fish I see for the first time.

Immediately after that, the jigging fishing caught a double hit of Akamutsu and Kuromutsu.
"Is there such a thing? That's great!" Mr. Fujikawa is very excited.

Mr. Fujikawa continues to aim for red pine by changing the device and the type of bait with the advice of the captain, but there was no reaction from red pine.

In the end, the best result was that everyone fished Akamutsu, so this fishing trip is over.

Excellent! Cooking high-grade fish

After the fishing, the group returned to Sakihama Fishing Port. I had been off the coast for a whole day before sunrise, but Mr. Fujikawa couldn't see tired, and he seemed to be more happy than that.

“I’ve gone to the port now. The catch is better! Offshore Muroto has very high potential, I was able to get the first Akamutsu in my life, and I could catch a lot of Kuromutsu. After this, I would like to return to Kochi City and get the fish I caught immediately! " 。

After that, they specially cooked the fish caught at the izakaya "Rakuda Bettei" in Kochi City, and had the red pine that they had been fishing for themselves. "It's a luxury. I eat such a sweet and fat sashimi for the first time." "It's delicious to cook. It tastes nice,” he said.

In addition to the fish caught, we enjoyed the gourmet unique to Kochi, such as fresh bonito straw grilling and lettuce shabushabu, a specialty of the shop, and Mr. Fujikawa's second fishing experience was over.
