Kochi-Taiwan influencers can enjoy Kochi using Taiwan charter flights! [Miracle Clear Stream / Niyodo River Cycling Edition]
Taiwanese bicycle influencer Linda participates with friends on a cycling tour around the Niyodo River, the clearest clear stream in Japan. We will report on a very satisfying 1-day cycling trip that enjoys Japanese papermaking experience, a traditional culture of Inomachi, Kochi Prefecture, and delicious gourmet!
In addition, Linda also participated in the cycling event "Taka Tomohito Yodo Blue Ride" running in the Niyodo River basin. Please see it below!

Move from Kochi Station to Ino Station and start cycling!

The starting point of the trip is Kochi Station on the JR Dosan Line. From here, take the train bound for Kubokawa and head to Ino Station. There are 3 stations to Ino Station (approximately 12 minutes) by express, and 7 stations (approximately 25 minutes) by train stop at each station.
We have arrived at Ino Station on the JR Dosan Line in Inomachi, Agawa-gun, Kochi Prefecture!

In front of the station, we will join Hilo of the outdoor guide "Do what you want to do now!" By the way, Ino Station is one of the stages of the 2021 movie "Dragon and Fuckle Princess". It is known as a sacred place for anime fans.

I'm leaving for cycling immediately with the E-bike (bicycle with electric assist unit) prepared by Hiro!

After about 1 km, we arrived at our first destination. "Sugimoto (Sugimoto) Shrine" has a history of more than 1200 years.

A shrine that is nicknamed "Ino no Okuni-sama" and is popular among Kochi residents. The spring festival "Okuni Matsuri" is one of the three major festivals of Tosa, and is visited by more than a hundred thousand worshipers every year.

Visit shrines that have various benefits, such as marriage, home safety, commercial prosperity, illness healing, traffic safety, and fishery prosperity.
Experience Japanese papermaking at Tosa Washi Craft Village QRAUD in roadside rest area
The party who cleansed their hearts at the shrine departed for the next destination. We run fast along the Niyodo River.

Go north on National Route 195, where fresh greenery is dazzling. E-bike is easy! I'm going on.
About 7km to run, Arrived at Tosa Washi Craft Village QRAUD in roadside rest area.

This is a complex where you can experience hotels, restaurants, spas, Sannaoichi, Tosa Washi papermaking, hata weaving, canoeing & rafting, etc.
Linda and others experience the papermaking of Tosa Washi, one of Japan's three major Japanese paper. You can make original colored paper, fan, and postcard using plain Japanese paper, but this time we challenged to make postcards.

Using a wooden frame called Suketa, we plow the bark fiber, which is the material of Japanese paper. It's safe because the staff will teach you politely.

After sweeping, carefully decorate the prepared colorful flowers. “I chose my favorite pink flower,” says Linda.
After the decoration is finished, the staff will drain the water and dry it. And wait 30 minutes, the original postcard is ready!

“It was much cleaner than I thought! I'm very happy."
Was papermaking difficult?
"I was a little nervous, but originally I like manufacturing, so papermaking was very interesting. It's great to bring home a hand-made souvenir!" 。
By the way, while waiting, Linda and others enjoyed lunch at the restaurant in the facility.

It was “This Month’s Lunch Course.”
Soup, salad, main, bread or rice, and after-dinner drinks are served according to the pace of the eater. Linda and his friends were very satisfied with the dishes that made use of seasonal ingredients.
Niyodo River's specialty, sinking bridge tour and sweets break
Next, we headed to the Niyodo River's famous sinking bridge. The first is the Nagoya sinking bridge, which is about 2.5 km from Tosa Washi Craft Village QRAUD.

"Niyodo Blue, it's beautiful! The place I usually live in is a city, so I feel that there are not many people here and the nature is very beautiful."
In addition, the group went to Kataoka Sinking Bridge, about 12 km away.

"It's good to enjoy cycling in this way, it's good to do activities in the river, and the Niyodo River is full of charm!" 。

Going back and forth a subsidence bridge full of taste. We make a U-turn here and return the way we came.

We ran about 5.5km to reach our last destination. Kochi Ice Shop is located on the banks of the Niyodo River. This is a directly managed store of Kochi Ice, which manufactures products based on the concept of "Made in Tosa".

They ordered a "blueberry parfait" with homemade blueberry sauce topped with rich vanilla soft ice cream using eggs from Kochi's local chicken "Tosa Giraud" and a "university potato parfait" wrapped with cold soft ice cream on warm university potatoes. Enjoy the spectacular view of the Niyodo River!
Two people refreshed with a delicious parfait. I ran 17km along the Niyodo River and returned to Ino Station.

This 1-day cycling trip is over! The total mileage is about 45 km.
"This course is easy, so even beginners can cycling easily. I ran with my friends today, but I think it's OK to be with my family. The scenery is beautiful, and the climate is similar to Taiwan, so it's good to spend time!" 。
Cycling while enjoying the beautiful scenery, Kochi traditional papermaking experience, and delicious rice and sweets. This time, it was an introduction of a one-day trip where you can enjoy the charm around the Niyodo River.
Next time, we will introduce a day when Linda visited cultural and historical spots in Kochi City. Please look forward to it!
Finally, Mr. Hilo, who guided the two people, said, "Do what you want to do now!"

"We are good at not only E-bike, but also on private, custom-made tours that meet customer needs, such as river activities, trekking and climbing. Even beginners or those who want to combine multiple activities are OK. Please come and visit Kochi!” 。
