At Medaka Pond (Kusaka River Reservoir), one of the largest inland wetlands in the prefecture, you can enjoy a forest bathing in the forest at the foot of Toki Castle Ruins, where the legend of Motochika Chosokabe remains on the road to Saruda cave. A peaceful satoyama landscape spreads along the way to Komura Shrine, which is known as a power spot for protecting the leaves of peony cedar in sacred tree. From Saruda-dong to Komura Shrine, it is also the road of the Ryoma deserted clan.
